Carlos Valdes is an artist with an insatiable passion for self-expression through art. Born and raised in the streets of Cuba, he began his artistic journey at the young age of 8. Drawing became his refuge, a way to explore and share his unique perspective on life. His artistic odyssey took flight through participation in various art workshops, a fervent dedication to honing his craft, and an unwavering commitment to research all things art-related. At the age of 19, he embarked on a new chapter, emigrating to the United States in pursuit of a dream. This journey led him through diverse career avenues, but it was his unshakable devotion to the art that finally called him home. He decided to embrace the art of tattooing, seeing it as a powerful medium to connect with people and bring their visions to life. He obtained an apprenticeship under a seasoned tattoo artist in the heart of Ybor City, Tampa, Florida in 2018. This marked the moment where his passion for art met the world of tattooing, and he hasn't looked back since. Today, he's a proud team member at Heart Tattoo Collective . At Heart, he transforms his clients' stories, memories, and dreams into living, breathing art that they can carry with them always.
